During the JINC Architecture Sector Day, young people from Rotterdam discover the world of architecture. This day is jointly organized by JINC and AIR.

The students take part in a programme hosted by various architecture firms and organizations, where they complete inspiring and hands-on assignments at each company. This gives them insight into the daily practice of the architecture sector and the different professions within it.

They explore activities such as drawing floor plans, creating a programme of requirements, thinking about target groups, material use, and building models. In an accessible way, they discover how design influences the city and the living environment.

The workshops connect to current spatial challenges and the theme of the Rotterdam Architecture Month: “collectivity as the foundation for circularity.” Topics include circular material use and designing for climate adaptation. In this way, the day becomes an inspiring introduction to architecture for young people in Rotterdam.
